Forest Side will officially open its doors on February 1 after an extensive 18-month renovation programme and £4m investment.
The hotel will be the third property in the Wildsmith Hotels portfolio, joining The Ryebeck and Hipping Hall in the Lake District group created by Andrew Wildsmith.
Forest Side will launch with 20 bedrooms and a 50-cover restaurant, set in a 19th-century Victorian hotel close to Grasmere in the Lake District, Cumbria.
Heading up the kitchen will be Kevin Tickle, former chef and head forager at L’Enclume for almost eight years.
Tickle will change the menu daily according to produce available within the 46 acres of grounds surrounding the hotel and the newly-built Victorian kitchen garden.
The furnishings and artwork have been sourced locally, complimenting Forest Side’s picturesque location, while the hotel’s interior design has been created by Mackies Interior Design and Decoration, Lancaster.
