Formby Hall Resort sold to C S Hotels for undisclosed sum

The prestigious Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa has been sold to C S Hotels for an undisclosed sum.

Acting on behalf of the hotel’s private owner, CBRE has completed the sale of the four-star resort, which is located between Southport and Liverpool and part of a collection of 12 of the finest golf courses in Britain.

Set in 182 acres of parkland, alongside the hotel’s 62 bedrooms, Formby Hall consists of multiple restaurants: L37 Restaurant and cocktail bar lounge, 19th Hole bar, Java Lounge reception and Spa Bistro.

The resort is well known for the high-profile Formby Hall Golf Club, which is accustomed to hosting major events which have included the European Challenge Tour, the Senior and European Pro Tour events.

It is the newest of the three venues to be used for the inaugural England Golf Coast Pro-Am.
