The four-star Killyhevlin Hotel in Co Fermanagh has just finished a £1.4m investment into the creation of 14 new lakeside lodges, in preparation for the tourism boom that is expected over the summer.
The Enniskillen hotel spent five months building the new lodges, assembling the timber frames off site and transporting them into place once complete, a procedure which was up to 70% quicker than constructing the 14 lodges on site.
The hotel used Limavady company Fasthouse for the build.
Leigh Watson from the Killyhevlin Hotel said that the new investment would help meet the increasing demand for self-catering accommodation in the area.
“Considerable planning and meticulous design work has gone into the creation of our state of the art lodges, which will provide a major boost to the local tourism sector,” she said.
