Bedford Post Inn: Owned by Richard Gere.Actor Richard Gere and his wife transformed this historic building in New York into an intimate boutique hotel in 2007. Designed by Richard's wife Carey Lowell, Bedford Post Inn is romantic and stylish, with top room amenities like claw-foot bathtubs, Frette linens and working fireplaces. There are only 8 guestrooms but, due to demand, it expanded to 12 in 2013. Richard plays a big role here and is seen frequently at the hotel, which also attracts famous guests like Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren.
Hotel Football: Owned by Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville.Opening only this month, Hotel Football is owned by former footballers Giggs and Neville and is a design hotel and dedicated shrine to football (with its own rooftop pitch) right next to the Manchester United stadium at Old Trafford. Its investors also include Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville.
The Big Sleep Hotel: Owned by John Malkovich. This no-frills design hotel was dubbed the first UK budget design hotel when it opened in 1999 in Cardiff. Since then, the actor has launched further properties in Cheltenham and Eastbourne.
La Escondida Hotel:Owned by Terry Venables.Former England football team manager Terry Venables realised his dream of opening his own boutique hotel, when he launched La Escondida in 2014. Along with his wife Yvette, Venables was working for two years to turn La Escondida Hotel and Restaurant in Spain into a luxury 10-room property complete with a spa and fine dining restaurant.
Hotel Rival, Stockholm: Owned by Benny Andersson (ABBA).Guests can channel their inner Dancing Queen and head to the modern Hotel Rival in Stockholm, owned by Abba's Benny Andersson.Formerly an old-fashioned cinema house, the 99-room boutique hotel has a bar, bistro, and cafe. It also hosts performances by famous DJs, musicians and singers every weekend.
