The Rise, the new restaurant from The Grand Hotel York, has announced the appointment of new bar and restaurant managers as the £15m redevelopment of Yorkshire’s five-star hotel edges another step closer to completion.
After launching in June 2017, the new eatery has welcomed Alexandra Chlistalla to the role of bar manager, who joins from the five-star Shangri-La at The Shard in London.
Darren Noyland has also been appointed as restaurant manager at The Rise, with 23 years of industry experience spanning across restaurants such as Smoke, Las Iguanas, and Brewhouse & Kitchen.
The Rise is headed up by executive chef Craig Atchinson.

The Grand Hotel & Spa, York is currently undertaking a £15m redevelopment, with The Rise at the heart of its plans.
The expansion project will also see the addition of 101 bedrooms when a new accommodation wing opens later this year. When complete, the development will double the number of five-star rooms in York, from 107 to 208.
