G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh, part of the Quorvus Collection, has opened its new terrace, where it will become the only place in the city where guests can enjoy afternoon tea outdoors.
The Tanqueray TEN Terrace will be targeted at hungry festival-goers and city-dwellers and will remain open until September 30 2016.
As part of the hotel’s new afternoon tea offering, a number of weird and wonderful delights will be on offer, including Tanqueray Negroni jelly and candied orange, liquorice panna cotta and grapefruit compote, Tanqueray No. TEN and cucumber gazpacho, as well as the much fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, a selection of sandwiches, and sweet treats.
G&V’s G&Ts will be served on the secret terrace, hidden down a cobbled passage just off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and is bidding to become the ‘social hub of the summer’.
The opening of G&V’s Tanqueray TEN Terrace comes amid a number of changes for the hotel.
Following the redesign of the hotel’s suites in 2015 by a number of leading Scottish artists and interior designers, the Cucina restaurant is currently undergoing a refurbishment by design duo Timorous Beasties, which is set to be completed by July 12.
November 2016 meanwhile will see the launch of a hot new bar for G&V, as well as a full refurbishment and redesign of the hotel’s ground-floor lobby.
