Dog owners can now take their canine companions along with them when they stay at any of Hallmark’s 28 hotels around the country.

From August this year, dogs are welcome at any of the group’s properties, and will be greeted with a personalized card and special package that includes treats, a bottle of still water, a towel and a map recommending nearby parkland to explore.

“The growth of the UK staycation, the price of kennels and the increasing desire to holiday with our hounds have all contributed to a major rise in demand for pet-friendly hotels,” explains Robert Alley, group sales and marketing director at Hallmark. “We’re delighted to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to get away with all the family.” Dog rates will be charged at £15 per night.
