An empty pub in Buriton in Hampshire has been transformed into a stylish boutique hotel, after the owners received a six-figure boost from HSBC.
The Village Inn, which has been empty since April 2016, was snapped up by Rachel Jameson and Chris Cooper and with the help of a £516k commercial mortgage from HSBC, converted the property into a 14-bedroom hotel and gastro pub.
Alongside the 14 bedrooms, the property has also introduced a ‘gin shed’, which offers 25 different types of gin.
Chris Cooper said: “Now that we’ve opened, we are able to offer a greater range of services and facilities than before.”
The bedrooms are yet to open, with local interior designer Rebecca Barnes, bringing each space to life with an individual style.
Each one is home to a smart TV, fast Wifi, and toiletries from The White Company.
