Georgian House Hotel in London is celebrating after successfully completing an extensive overhaul of its dining space.
The boutique, owned by Serena von der Heyde, officially unveiled the brand new area last night, and now hopes the restaurant and bar will bring a new set of customers to Georgian House.
The space has been designed by Diana Holmes, who is responsible for the whole look of the hotel including its ‘magical’ Harry Potter bedrooms and who has worked with Georgian House since 2008.
Together with Serena, Holmes wanted to create a modern space that still had links to the hotel’s past when it was owned by Serena’s grandfather, and give the look and feel of three different spaces that can be used for dining and private events.
She utilised a number of online suppliers for the project and worked with sculptor Rob Campbell who created one-of-a-kind pieces for the new space which are on display.
With quick design nods such as wallpaper adorned with Penguin book covers and a neutral stylish colour palette, owner Serena hopes the restaurant will become a real hub for the local community as well as tourists.
The new restaurant has already been serving breakfast for the hotel’s guests, who have spoken of their delight at the new surroundings.
