Hipping Hall scoops third AA Rosette for culinary excellence

Hipping Hall in Yorkshire has just been awarded a third AA Rosette for its food offering.

The former gentleman’s residence nestling between Cumbria and Lancashire is now among only 22 properties in the UK to be given three rosettes this year, and only one of two in the North West of England.

Head chef Oli Martin serves up a selection of innovative and exciting dishes that make use of the exceptional local produce on the doorstep of the 9-bedroom boutique.

After working at Hipping for just over a year the 26-year-old was promoted to Head Chef earlier this spring.

The AA commented in their report on the food produced at Hipping Hall: ‘’Dinner was excellent, good evidence of solid cooking with wonderful produce and evidence of textures and balance of flavours.’’

Adding: ‘‘The flavours are perfectly balanced…Great thought and imagination is shown with the menu and its composition, with high quality produce as standard.’’

Oli Martin said: ”I am delighted for Hipping Hall and the team, this is a very proud moment for everyone. This is the start of a long and rewarding journey for the team and I know we can continue to push on and achieve even more in the future.”

Andrew Wildsmith, owner of Hipping Hall, said: ”We are truly thrilled for Oli and the whole team at Hipping Hall. We all work to one end and that is without doubt to ensure our guests have the best possible experience during their stay with us. As they say the sky’s the limit – onwards and upwards!”
