The Standard hotel in Hollywood is breaking the boundaries of guest amenities, by introducing a boutique fill of cannabis-infused goods as part of a new collaboration.

The hotel in LA, founded by entrepreneurial hotelier Andre Balazs, has begun a new partnership with confection creator Lord Jones who is known for its marijuana-based edibles, candles and topicals.

The collaboration will see a new boutique shop open to the right side of the hotel’s entrance, occupying around 300 sq ft of space on Sunset Boulevard, which will launch in 2018.

The store will offer a selection of cannabis-infused candles, caramels, chocolates and sweetened gumdrops all featuring THC.

It will also be home to a variety of body lotions and ‘smokable products’.

The Standard is also now considering plans to create collaborative edibles in the feature with the Lord Jones brand.

Despite California overwhelmingly voting to legalise the recreational use of cannabis last year, the regulations around its sale are still being debated and won’t be set in stone until 2018.
