The Hospitality and Catering Show in Bournemouth is to add another ingredient to its line up, after new organisers Hale Events plan to shake up the south coast event’s format.

The show, which was hosted in March under Hale Events for the first time, was deemed a success by both visitors and exhibitors, but changes are now on the horizon for 2017.

Next year, the show will be marketed as The Hotel Catering and Retail Show and will aim to cater not only for the business needs of hospitality buyers, but also encompass those who own and manage retail outlets looking for speciality food and drink for their businesses.

Mike Anderson, managing director said: “We really enjoyed our first year and have lots of ideas to expand and develop the show so that it meets the future needs of buyers in the ever developing food and drink market.”

Show features at this year’s Hotel & Catering Show included ‘Hospitality Talks’, a demonstration kitchen, and the Mixology Bar, which hosted the UKBG Market Challenge 2016 for Barman Apprentices and Bartending Legends.

These highlights will all be back on the bill for 2017 and there are further plans to develop the demonstration kitchen, in a bid to bring to life more competitions and attract top professional chefs.

Next year’s show will take place on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th March 2017 at Bournemouth’s BIC.
