Malmaison Hotel du Vin has announced it is to open its newest branch in Stratford-upon-Avon, marking the boutique brand’s fourth property under development in the last 18 months.
The hotel will be created by the transformation of two Georgian townhouses, which will be a 48-bedroom Hotel du Vin.
Its purchase and planned conversion follows that of the newest branded property, Cannizaro House in Wimbledon, which was turned into a Hotel du Vin in April. The brand has also opened Malmaison Dundee and Hotel du Vin in St Andrews.
The hotel in Rother Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, is scheduled to open by the end of 2016 and will include meeting and private dining rooms, a Bistro and a separate banqueting room with space for 80 diners.
The conversion will be in keeping with the Grade II listed status of the two Georgian buildings.
Paul Roberts, CEO of Malmaison Hotel du Vin said: “We are extremely excited about opening Hotel du Vin in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. The hotel’s lifestyle brand is a perfect fit for those attracted to the stunning and thought-provoking Shakespearean sites that make Stratford-upon-Avon such a global destination. This development represents Malmaison Hotel du Vin’s significant growth prospects and commitment to deliver an exceptional customer experience in stunning surroundings.”
