Parents and children were left disappointed after a Frozen Pop-Up Experience at a hotel in Essex failed to impress.
Orsett Hall Hotel in Essex promised fans of the epic Disney phenomenon a special ice-themed experience during half term week at the country house, but visitors felt ripped off after being hit with charges for each attraction at the site.
Charging guests £15 for a child and £5 for an adult, the hotel function room contained a paddling pool, a small bouncy castle and “an average” small play area.
There was also a facepainting salon, where children could be made into the ultimate princess, complete with plastic tiara and certificate, but at a cost of £25 and the request required an advance booking.
Despite the even being sold out for the whole week, disgruntled dad Robert Hardman wrote to the Daily Mail about his experiences, where the pint-sized MDF castle and expensive activities left him disappointed.
Orsett Hall Hotel also put on a floor-show with a cast of three- two actresses playing Elsa and Anna and a chap playing Kristoff. However, Hardman described how the whole story was shrunk to a 35-minute singalong, ending with the iconic Let it Go, which child fans know actually comes in the middle of the film, not at the end.
A spokesperson from organisers HotHot Events said that the event had been approved by Disney and apologised for any problems.
