Hotel Indigo in Liverpool has announced the appointment of two new members of staff as it drives forward on its growth pipeline.
Mark Tasker has joined the boutique hotel, part of InterContinental Hotels Group, as general manager, while Paul Terzo has been recruited as head chef at the hotel’s Marco Pierre White restaurant.
Tasker comes on board with 20 years experience in the hospitality sector, having recently left his position as GM at Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port.
Paul Terzo has been appointed as the new head chef of the in-house Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill restaurant. He has held previous positions at Hollin Hall Country House Hotel in Macclesfield and Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.
Their appointments come as the four-star hotel in Chapel Street prepares to undergo an extensive refurbishment later this year, having launched in 2011.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Tasker said: “The hotel has proven to be a success since it opened five years ago; guests enjoy staying here with us, and return time and time again. Now it’s time to capitalize on that as we enter into a new era, with exciting plans for both the hotel and restaurant in the pipeline.”
