Hotel in Northern Ireland gets planning go ahead for bedroom extension under new ownership

The Seagoe Hotel in Portadown, Northern Ireland, will soon benefit from 24 new bedrooms as planning permission for a room extension was recently given the go ahead.

The hotel was recently taken over by new owners, Paula Gilbert and her business partner Neil Hamilton, who now plan to revamp and extend the venue over the next 24 months.

One plan in the pipeline will see the current bedroom count of 34 extended by an extra 24 rooms, with the hotel going through a series of improvements and upgrades beforehand.

The new owners said they hope to develop a ‘fantastic wedding and hospitality venue for the area’ and will be ‘going after’ more corporate business.

They also hope to expand the hotel’s wine offering, as well as developing a gin and whisky menu.
