A new management team has been recruited for Bredbury Hall Hotel and Country Club in Stockport, to steer the iconic hotel in its next direction.
The historic venue has also unveiled its new look following the completion of its first phase of renovations.
The new Bredbury team will be led by new general manager Mark McMenamy, who comes with more than 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry including a stint at Whitbread where he specialised in refurbishments and new openings.
Also coming on board is new head chef Paul Whitfield, who joins from Park Hall Hotel in Chorley.
The renovation work at Bredbury has created a new open plan lounge area, complete with new Brasserie Bar which offers an all-day dining menu.
There is also a new look for Bredbury Hall’s nightclub which now has a Moroccan-themed cocktail bar and a new VIP lounge.
The changes follow Bredbury Hall’s acquisition by Newco Ventures Limited in June this year. The second phase of renovations will start in January 2016 and will include a revamp of the main restaurant and the hotel’s 147 bedrooms.
Mark Chambers of Onecall Hospitality, the hotel management specialist operating Bredbury Hall on behalf of Newco Ventures, said: “Bredbury Hall is one of the North West’s best known venues and is now beginning a new chapter in its history. With its strategic location on the motorway network close to the airport, it will continue to attract a national and international clientele. However we also want it to be at the heart of the community, as a meeting place for local people and a leading venue for business events.”
