InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a deal with owner partner Sanguine for its fourth Hotel Indigo in London.
The 101-key Hotel Indigo – London Barbican is a new-build hotel under the group’s boutique brand, slated to launch in the East end in 2016.
The hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with Sanguine, which currently has six IHG hotels open in the UK and two under construction.
Sanguine chairman Simon Matthews-Williams said: “This is our first flurry into London and demonstrates our confidence in the brand and complements our other Hotel Indigo projects in Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle and Manchester.
"The brand is innovative and being relatively new, has substantial growth potential,” he added.
It joins other Hotel Indigo properties in the capital in Paddington, Kensington and Tower Hill.
IHG also signed a deal with Nine Hospitality Ltd for the Holiday Inn – Watford Junction, a 92-bedroom budget property due to open this summer.
