Strand Palace Hotel has opened new dining outlet Sacred, an independent cafe brand, in a bid to capture more off-the-street trade.
The London hotel’s new addition will serve a range of gourmet coffees, herbal teas, juices and a menu of fresh food throughout the day, to bring a new batch of customers to the hotel.
The dishes served have all been created by the Strand Palace’s head chef, Martin Lynch.
The brand Sacred was established in 2005 by owner Tubbs Wanigasekera, who uses a plantation in Sri Lanka owned by his family for over four generations for its tea blends.
Sacred’s interior provides a combination of seating and meeting areas, as well as quick express areas to cater to a range of customers.
David MacRae, general manager of the Strand Palace Hotel said: “London is the most competitive coffee market – bar none, and we are proud to be the latest location for one of the capital’s favourite café experiences. We are really excited to introduce ‘Sacred’ to the local neighbourhood, particularly as we share a common philosophy – as independent brands – to offer customers exceptionally great products and friendly service in familiar surroundings. We wanted to create a buzz with the design that focuses on a sensorial experience and reflects our commitment to creating and presenting the highest quality and innovation.”
