The Kingsmills Hotel and Spa in Inverness, Scotland will launch one of the city’s largest meetings and events venues, plus an additional 38 rooms in early 2014.
The privately-owned, 134-key mansion will open the Kingsmills Suite, a 410 sq m venue catering to up to 480 delegates, with options to divide the area into four rooms.
More than 70 bookings have already been taken for the suite for 2014, exceeding targets, according to the hotel’s management.
“It has been exciting to see the events suite taking shape and showing so many event organisers and wedding couples around the new build. We’re delighted that so many people are showing real interest in booking the suite, even before it is completed,” said general manager Craig Ewan.
“We have artist’s impressions of what the building will look like so using our imagination is key, but we’re confident everyone will be very impressed with what will be unveiled early next year,” he added.
The hotel will be able to offer banqueting for up to 340 covers with a menu incorporating locally-sourced Scottish product such as shellfish from Cromarty, Stornoway and Orkney, venison from Ardgay, beef from Grantown on Spey and local organic eggs, ice cream and cheese.
Set within four acres of landscaped grounds, the four-star Kingsmills Hotel and Spa is located one mile from the centre of Inverness.
