L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa in Jersey has capitalised on its uninterrupted sea views by unveiling a new £500k terrace.

The AA-Four-Red-Star hotel, which is part of the Hand Picked Hotels group, now boasts an upgraded 54 meter decked terrace, featuring a relaxing lounge for up to 32 guests, a separate 66-seat dining area and a dedicated outdoor bar.

The south facing terrace has also been fitted with a new sound, heating and lighting system and a retractable electric roof. The Terrace’s new lunch and dinner menus have been designed by the hotel’s executive head chef, Andrew Soddy, to reflect The Terrace’s modern new look.

Shaun McGachan, hotel manager at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, commented: “Being outside is a main attraction here in Jersey, so it was important to give our guests and local diners a completely new and modern alfresco dining experience that makes the most of Jersey’s fabulous sunny climate and offers guests unbeatable views of the bay.”

McGachan continued: “With the new Terrace fully up and running to complement our Atlantic Room and The Grill restaurants. I’m confident L’Horizon now offers the most compelling beachside dining proposition on the island for residents that live here and those staying with us for a relaxing, leisurely break.”

Julia Hands, chairman and CEO of Hand Picked Hotels, added: “Not only is this a very relaxed and welcoming space but the new menu balances effortlessly with the relaxed style we were keen to emulate, with seasonal produce and local influences inspiring the range of dishes.”
