Jonathan Brown Joins Luton Hoo Hotel as hotel manager

Luxury five-star hotel Luton Hoo, part of the Elite Hotels Group, has appointed Jonathan Brown as its new hotel manager.

Brown joins Luton Hoo with a wealth of industry experience under his belt having started his career as a butler at The Lanesborough, before proceeding to front of house manager at The Athenaeum, resident manager at The Grove and most recently general manager at Macdonald Hotels and Resorts.

In this new role, he will report to Luton Hoo’s general manager Matthew Long, who has presided over the hotel for the last 10 years, and will be assisting Long in the day-to-day operational management of the hotel.

On his appointment, Brown commented: “I am delighted to be part of Elite Hotels and honoured to be working at such a beautiful property, steeped in history. My family and I have settled in very well on the glorious surrounding estate, and we look forward to many days spent in the great outdoors.”

Matthew Long, general manager at Luton Hoo said: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan to the management team at Luton Hoo. As a seasoned hospitality professional, Jonathan understands the key messages and values of the hotel and I am looking forward to seeing the staff flourish under his management.
