Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel London to undergo refurbishment

A soft refurbishment of all 87 bedrooms and connecting corridors at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, London is expected to start on January 5, 2014.

The boutique hotel in Knightsbridge will remain open during the works by interior design firm Lynne Hunt London, the same company that led the multi-million-pound renovation of the property in 2006.

“We were very happy with that [renovation] so she’s back to really take everything out – we’re not doing anything structural — and put everything new back in,” general manager Ian Richardson told Boutique Hotelier.

“The functionality of the rooms works very well —albeit with limited space — but I think that the main focus is to enrich the quality of the fixtures and the fittings,” he said, adding that colour schemes we’re currently being approved.

The refurbishment is expected to be completed in mid-April 2014.
