King Street Townhouse confirms December opening


King Street Townhouse, the hotly-anticipated newest addition to the Eclectic Hotels Group, has finally announced that it will open its doors to the public in December.

Eclectic Hotels, which also operates Great John Street, Didsbury House Hotel, Eleven Didsbury Park and On the 7th Members’ Club at MediaCityUK, has transformed a Grade-II listed Italian renaissance building on King Street into a 40-bedroom boutique hotel in Manchester’s city centre.

Guests can choose from five different room types, each with their own character and amenities.

The hotel also boasts its own rooftop infinity spa pool and will be home to a relaxed bar and dining space, King Street Tavern.

King Street Townhouse has been a long awaited new launch for the industry, with plans originally announced in June 2014.

Eamonn O’Loughlin, owner of Eclectic Hotels, said: “The regeneration of King Street is significant for Manchester and the opening of our fifth property in this iconic area is an important landmark for us. We have named King Street Townhouse a ‘baby grand hotel’ as it is a small and cosy adaption of the grand hotel.”
