The Borough gastro pub in Lancaster has completed a project to add a nine-bedroom hotel wing to its portfolio.
The grade-II listed property is the only venue in the city recommended in the Michelin Guide and director Martin Horner believes this new additional will further enhance its reputation.
Speaking to North West Caterer, Martin Horner, director at The Borough, said: “The new accommodation has really paid off with the majority of rooms being fully booked since the opening. It has opened up a whole new revenue stream for the business.”
The project was overseen by local designers Harrison Pitt Architects, who worked closely with conversation specialists at Lancaster city council to maintain the historic style of the building.
Horner continues, “Harrison Pitt’s expertise has enabled us to make best use of the space available while offering a design that is modern yet sympathetic to the original features of the building.”
