The Langdale Estate in the Lake District is on the hunt for a new chef de partie to work in its busy pub on site.
The Estate, set in 35 acres of woodland in the Lakes, consists of a 16-bedroom boutique hotel, 56-bedroom four-star hotel, 100 five-star timeshare units, two restaurants, two bars, a pub and leisure club and spa.
It is now calling for a full-time chef de partie to join the small committed team at the traditional Lakes pub.
The job requires someone with experience in the pub environment and the capacity to work under pressure, and in return, full training will be given as well as the opportunity to work towards an NVQ.
The role would suit a strong demi chef de partie with the ability to multi task and also develop their skills or a chef de partie wishing to take the next step.
The advert states: “Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential especially when under pressure. The ability to supervise and guide junior members of the brigade would be an advantage.”
There are two other kitchens on the Estate, so candidates would need to be flexible to adapt and ensure that the operation runs smoothly at all times.
