The new pop-up eatery currently taking over the restaurant at The Zetter in Clerkenwell is proving to be a huge success with diners.
Le Bun, which is running a five-week residency until December 20, offers diners its signature American street food and has become a huge hit at the quirky boutique, with general manager Ashley Ely saying bookings are “non-stop from Thursday through the rest of the week”.
Founded by Andy Taylor and Tim Talbot, Le Bun fits in perfectly with the style of the Zetter with neon lights, vintage televisions, boomboxes and cinema projectors all part of the decor in the restaurant.
The menu boasts twists on classics, including Le Truffle Chesseburger, Philly Cheesesteak and Duck ‘Fries’ Poutine as well as Le Bun’s signature Hot Wings and Le Duck Frites Bun, and comes complete with carefully crafted cocktails that run alongside the theme.
GM Ely said: “We have been really busy and it’s been going so well. We’ve seen lunch trade increase and when we first launched there were queues outside the door for dinner. It’s been a great experience for our in-house chefs too, as they work alongside the resident Le Bun chefs in the kitchen. It’s been great for encourage people to visit at the weekends as well; we are always really busy from Thursday through to Monday now.”
