Liverpool boutique hotel unveils stage one of £400k refurbishment


A popular hotel in Liverpool has unveiled the completion of the first phase of its £400k refurbishment.

The Richmond Hotel in the city’s Hatton Garden has given 12 of its 130 bedrooms a makeover, with another 22 bedrooms scheduled to get a facelift over the coming weeks.

The project will see the rooms transformed with a new design concept, new wallpaper, furniture, carpets and bathrooms.

The Richmond Hotel’s basement will also be renovated into eight new bedrooms over the summer, which will be ready to welcome the first guests in August.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Joe Little, general manager of The Richmond Hotel, says: “We’re very proud of the hotel’s individuality, there’s certainly nothing cookie cutter here and the newly refurbished rooms reflect that.

“This latest investment is part of a rolling programme of refurbishment works all focused on ensuring we continue to offer the best facilities and experience for our guests.”
