The London EDITION has announced the appointment of Jurgen Ammerstorfer as general manager.
The hotel, part of the brand created by Ian Schrager and Marriott, welcomes Ammerstorfer with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having also graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Modul University in Vienna.
He also boasts a wealth of experience at seven well-known international hotels, including, manager at the Shangri-La Hotel within The Shard in London and GM at Hilton’s The Trafalgar Hotel.
Ammerstorfer has also worked with Preferred Hotels and Resorts as well as Intercontinental and Leading Hotels of the World, in the Middle East, Europe and USA.
He has also held positions in a number of operational roles in both the rooms division and food and beverage departments within hotels.
As part of his new role, he will continue to strengthen London EDITION’s strong place in the market, overseeing the 173 bedrooms and restaurant Berners Tavern.
