London Fashion Weekend, taking place from September 13-17 at Somerset House, is expected to boost occupancy at boutique and lifestyle hotels.
A number of properties have launched themed promotions in line with the apparel trade show, which is held twice a year.
“During London’s big cultural events the hotel usually experiences high occupancy. Corinthia Hotel London is a Mecca for the fashion elite and the entertainment industry due to its location just off Trafalgar Square,” said Corinthia Hotels & Resorts director of international PR Fiona Harris.
Corinthia Hotel is marking the event with the launch of its ‘London Collection’ of cocktails themed around fashion destinations in London, to be served at Bassoon Bar priced at £16.
The Ampersand Hotel in Kensington will be offering a London Fashion Weekend themed afternoon tea, created by pastry chef Ji Sun Shin and served in The Drawing Rooms, a spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, the event’s official hotel The Mayfair has launched a range of “runway-ready” beauty treatments at its spa.
