London Wine Fair sold out for 35th year

The organisers of the 35th London Wine Fair have announced that the exhibition is now completely sold out.

The Fair, which returns to London’s Olympia next week from 18th to 20th May, will see both new and returning companies on show, including a debut from Consorzio di Prosecco, a special pavilion which will be home to eight Prosecco producers.

Commenting on this investment in the UK market, Luca Giavi, manager of the Consorzio di Tutela della Denominazione di Origine Controllata Prosecco, said: “Last year we had a small space within the U.Vi.Ve. stand, but this year, following interest shown by some of our wine companies, we will expand our presence with a fully generic area to host eight companies. We believe that this will be an opportunity to capitalise on the attention that Prosecco has in the UK, which since 2014, has been our primary market.

English Wine Producers is returning to The Fair after their inaugural show last year, with a 30% increase in stand space.

Show director, Ross Carter, commented: “Naturally we are delighted that the exhibition has sold out. Despite tough trading conditions we are seeing pockets of the UK industry starting to thrive and this is reflected in a significant increase in the number of exhibitors specifically targeting the independents and on-trade.”
