The Trafalgar Hotel has appointed Kameel Nankan as head chef, from his position as senior sous chef at Hilton London Gatwick Airport.
Nankan, who will oversee dining at Rockwell Bar and Vista rooftop bar, brings more than 14 years’ experience to his new role at the boutique-style London hotel.
"I am extremely passionate about food and wine, and look forward to experimenting with new flavour combinations. My first step will be to introduce a tapas and grill menu at Rockwell Bar,” said Nankan.
He started his career in the hospitality industry in South Africa, where he gained experience working as demi chef de partie at the Quarterdeck restaurant in Cape Town.
Prior to joining The Trafalgar Hotel, Nankan worked at Hilton London Gatwick Airport for 10 years, having started in 2004 as chef de partie.
