London-based hotel booking company Thinkhotels.com has re-launched its website and partnered with TripAdvisor to display content and collect post-trip reviews from travellers.
“Too many hotel portals scream at consumers to sell their product and this can become intimidating for the customer,” said ThinkHotels.com VP sales and marketing Mark Jones.
“We choose the route that is simple, fresh and easy to navigate. This engages the customer more effectively as there are no surprises to try and upsell, and a more relaxed environment for the customer results in greater sales,” said Jones.
Thinkhotels.com will display TripAdvisor ratings and reviews for hotels on the site, as well as traveller photos for more than 1000 destinations.
The partnership will also involve TripAdvisor collecting post-trip reviews via its B2B platform to encourage ThinkHotels.com customers to write reviews following their stays.
TripAdvisor senior partnerships manager Pollyanna Vincent said: “This collaboration will enable ThinkHotels.com customers to benefit from previous travellers’ experience when making a booking decision and encourage them to share their own experience after their trip.”
This approach coincides with the appointment of two marketing specialists David Garwell and Kevin Greene at ThinkHotels.com.
