Luton Hoo Hotel is bolstering its F&B department with the appointment of two new members to the senior team.
The hotel, part of Elite Hotels, has welcomed Darren Curson as head chef, who will work across both restaurants and banqueting for the hotel and its events venue Warren Weir.
He joins from his position of executive chef at The Raithwaite Estate in Whitby and will work under the supervision of Luton Hoo’s executive head chef Will Hughes to oversee the hotel’s fine dining Wernher Restaurant and country club restaurant Adam’s Brasserie, as well as the banqueting, room and lounge service.
Also new to the team is Marius Negru, who has been appointed as brasserie and bars’ manager for Luton Hoo’s country club.
Negru has held a variety of roles within the hospitality industry, including management positions at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa, Disney Dream Cruise Ships and Giraffe Restaurants.
As manager of Adam’s Brasserie, Marius will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within Luton Hoo’s country club, including Adam’s Brasserie restaurant, Adam’s Bar, the 19th Bar and room service.
