Luxury Lainston House welcomes new general manager

Lainston House in Winchester has announced the appointment of Gauis Wyncoll, who joins the luxury country hotel as general manager.

The 50-bedroom boutique in the Hampshire countryside, part of Exclusive Hotels and Venues, welcomes Wyncoll at an exciting time for the hotel, ahead of the launch the new on-site cookery school.

Wycoll brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with more than 20 years of hotel management experience and more recently completing a 12 year tenure with Macdonald Hotels. He joins Lainston House from his position as general manager at the Compleat Angler in Marlow.

Previous to this, Wyncoll spent 8 years at Forte Hotels Group.

Speaking of the new appointment, Danny Pecorelli, Managing Director of Exclusive Hotels and Venues, commented: “Providing the highest levels of service to our guests is our number one priority, and with his vast experience and dedication to hotel management Gaius is ideally placed to lead the hotel forward.
