Deer Park Country House Hotel in Devon has recently undergone a number of impressive changes in a bid to reposition the boutique as one of the top establishments in the country.
The 18th century Georgian mansion, set in 80 acres, has recently gained planning permission to erect a new Orangery, while also launching Devon’s first luxury thatched tree house and giving a selection of bedrooms an overhaul.
The new orangery is the biggest development to take place at the boutique, and with work starting early next year it is expected to be launch in April 2016.
The recent built of the hotel’s new luxury tree house has also just been completed and offers guests the chance to stay in the ‘ultimate love nest’ on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis from £650 per night. The new addition was designed and created by Blue Forest, who are renowned for building luxury tree houses around the world.
The investment has also continued in the bedrooms at Deer Park, with four of the rooms getting a complete makeover and the gardens also being reworked. The hotel’s restaurant takes a lot of its seasonal produce from its own kitchen garden, and as a result, the dining room was recently awarded 2 AA Rosettes and the hotel awarded four-star status.
Commenting on all the new developments at the Deer Park, managing director, Mark Godfrey says: “We’ve seriously gone to town and have done everything possible to create an environment where guests will want to stay for longer and return as soon as they can.”
“We can’t wait to start work on the new Orangery, it’s going to look spectacular. The Treehouse is simply stunning and is a real first for the region with its thatch roof and luxury design.”
