Mammoth £1m refurbishment project now complete at Wyboston Lakes

The final phase of a £1m bedroom refurbishment project at Wyboston Lakes hotel in Bedfordshire is now complete, with the hotel welcoming guests into the new space this month.

The new ‘Deluxe Oceania’ bedrooms aim to offer a ‘added level of luxury’ and come complete with new amenities and mini bars, plus super king size beds, and illuminated make up stations in the ne-suite bathrooms.

Guests staying in the new rooms will also benefit from complimentary hire of GHD straighteners, Xbox and DVD players on request.

“It was important to us that these rooms continued to compliment the overall leisure and spa experiences available to guests whilst delivering an indulgent and unique feel. We have continued to work with the best designers and contractors on this project and feel the results we’ve achieved will continue to improve the guest experience,” says Mark Haynes, director of property.

The new bedroom design stems from 138 guest reviews on a number of sample bedrooms created in 2015.

The soft furnishings and furniture from the existing bedrooms have been donated to the Emmaus Cambridge charity as part of the refurbishment programme.

Wyboston Lakes is a hotel, golf and conference centre set in 350 acres, near to St Neots. There is a modern European restaurant on site, alongside a spa and 18-hole golf course and floodlit driving range.
