A manor house in the New Forest is undergoing a £1.7m transformation to become a sleek new restaurant with boutique bedrooms.
Burley Manor is currently being given a makeover before it reopens in December with a bright, contemporary new look.
According to the hotel’s website, its vision is to ‘capture the essence of the manor house heritage and blend it with thoughtful, contemporary and eclectic twists to create something which is unique’.
On the grounds of Burley Manor, the Esdaile Barn is also being transformed into a new wedding venue, with the calendar open for bookings in 2016 and 2017.
The newly-appointed executive head chef, James Forman is already working on menus for the restaurant which will utilise local New Forest produce.
The hotel will also host a recruitment day this week to fill a number of positions available, including management roles and teams of waiters, housekeeping, reception, bar staff and spa therapists.
Managing director Michaela Lisle said: “Our vision is to capture the warmth and essence of the colourful Mediterranean landscape, lifestyle and people and blend it with this beautiful, quintessentially English manor.
“We are offering the opportunity to be part of the next chapter in the history of Burley Manor and to join our unique journey.”
