Having joined Bespoke Hotels in 2011 as a general manager, Thomas Greenall has since become a vital cog in the machine that now powers over 200 hotels across the world. In those six years, the business has seen a 50% growth in the UK and an 80% growth overseas.

Initially appointed to oversee the Noel Arms and Cotswold House Hotels, Greenall managed a team of 90 and went on to achieve sales of £227k in a single month in 2012, before moving to assist the regional operations director across 20 hotel sites in the South of England.

It was here where he really gained an outstanding grasp on procedural requirements. Appointed to the role of financial operations manager in January 2013, Greenall was given full responsibility for yearly budgeting and forecasting models across a portfolio of 60 properties in the UK, as well as assisting with purchasing where necessary, with the aim of ensuring all hotels achieved F&B gross profits.

Alongside this, he was tasked with monthly benchmarking of financial data, which was then used to both challenge and assist general managers across the group, by identifying wider trends and statistical patterns. Greenall is said to be ‘never fazed or intimidated by a challenge’, and consistently performs well, juggling a large number of competing priorities, given his responsibilities to both the business model of Bespoke as well as a range of private owners.
