The new Marriott AC hotel in Belfast has revealed plans to open a new restaurant on site in a partnership with acclaimed chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.
The new hotel will feature 190 bedrooms, a bar, lounge, meeting rooms, gym plus the new 104-cover restaurant which will be called Jean-Christophe Novelli at City Quays.
The venture will mark the French chef’s first venture into Ireland when it opens later this year, while he continues to operate a number of restaurants in Britain.
The property director at Bristol Harbour called the new addition a ‘real coup for Belfast’. The restaurant will feature a large glazed facade, allowing its diners to enjoy the views across Belfast Lough.
Speaking about the new restaurant, Novelli said: “I’m delighted to be the first chef with plans to open a restaurant at City Quays and really looking forward to welcoming guests to Belfast’s newest landmark development at the Marriott Hotel.
“The city has a well-deserved reputation as a must-visit food destination, and I can’t wait to add my expertise to what is an already successful and thriving hospitality industry here.”
