International hotel chain, Marriott has announced that it will offer free wifi to all of its 47 million loyalty club members worldwide, who book nights directly through the brand’s website, mobile app or hotel itself.
Beginning in January 2015, the new move will mean that members will benefit from free wifi across more than 3,800 hotels in the Marriott portfolio around the globe, including the company’s boutique offering Moxy and Edition.
“Marriott Rewards members asked for free wifi, and we answered,” said Stephanie Linnartz, executive vice president and chief marketing and commercial officer, Marriott International.
“Free wifi is a meaningful way to reward our most loyal customers and continue to attract next-gen travelers.”
Marriott Rewards, which is free to join, features other benefits, where members can earn points which can be redeemed at any hotel part of the Marriott family worldwide, enjoy mobile check-in and check-out, and now with the addition of free wifi.
