MGallery by Sofitel, the group’s boutique collection of hotels, has unveiled ‘sensory storytelling’, which is a series of new scents designed to bring to life the story of each of its properties.

On offer from October 31, guests at Francis Hotel, Bath; Castle Hotel, Windsor; and Queen’s Hotel, Cheltenham will be able to choose their own scent that has been inspired by the heritage, personality and story of each hotel.

As part of the new experience, guests will also be able to learn about the individual notes and materials that make up each scent, through a specially-created cocktail and afternoon tea.

Working with AccorHotels perfumery team, Lizzie Ostrom has helped create nine fragrances that tell a story and bring to life a moment from British cultural history, relating to the locations of each of the hotels.

“We are always looking for thoughtful ways to add to a guests’ MGallery by Sofitel experience,” says Inge Van Ooteghem, senior vice president of Upscale AccorHotels. “By using fragrances to showcase the unique stories of each individual property, we hope that the sensory storytelling experience will create long-lasting memories of each stay.”

MGallery by Sofitel is pricing the package, which includes an overnight stay, room fragrance, signature sensory storytelling cocktail and afternoon tea, at £170pp.
