Michelin-star chef creates ‘ultimate’ patty for Burger Day

The Michelin-starred head chef at Bohemia restaurant in Jersey has created a showstopping luxurious burger to pay homage to National Burger Day today.

Steve Smith, who has held a Michelin Star for more than 10 years from the age of 24, has worked his magic to design the gastronomic burger, which is made up of a sirloin steak, topped with stick short beef ribs, onion rings, foie gras, sandwiched in a brioche bun and served with truffle parmesan fries.

The burger will be priced at £24 and only available for a limited time only.

Smith, who previously headed the kitchens at The Burlington at The Devonshire Arms in Yorkshire, has worked at Bohemia since January 2013. He now heads up a brigade of 13 and has taken the restaurant into the Good Food Guide 2015 with a score of 6.

In 2014, Smith was named Catey Chef of the Year, retained Bohemia’s Michelin Star and was awarded 4 AA Rosettes.
