Macdonald Hotels & Resorts is investing £1.4m into the extension of the spa and leisure facilities at Macdonald Craxton Wood in Chester.
The makeover will see the Vital Health & Wellbeing Club undergo a full upgrade and spa extension.
The new club will feature an 18m refurbished swimming pool, a poolside sauna and steam room, and 12 spa treatment rooms.
A full spa thermal suite including, aroma steam room, rock sauna, ice fountain, experience shower, two foot spas, salt infusion room, RASUL mud therapy, dark and light relaxation areas will be on offer.
Other facilities will include a Zen garden, a Spa Café, a dedicated nail and aroma bar area, and a gymnasium with a private consultation area and a studio.

Work on the development is currently underway and is expected to be fully open by the end of June 2014.
