Mills & Boon, the UK’s most successful publisher of romantic fiction, has announced the launch of a brand new set of awards to recognise some of the UK’s most romantic venues.

The publisher aims to honour the businesses, services and people that go above and beyond to make guests feel special at its debut Romantics Awards.

The 12 awards categories range from from “The Most Romantic Wedding Venue” to “The Most Romantic UK Destination”.

Nominations for the 2015 Awards are now open for entry and will be whittled down to a longlist by the romance experts at Mills & Boon. A panel of independent experts, authors and industry figures (names TBA) will then choose the final shortlist of which one winner for each category will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on April 29th. Nominations close in mid-March and the shortlist will be declared in April.

Joanna Kite, marketing manager at Mills & Boon said: “Gone are the days of the single red rose, being romantic is big business, from starlit roof top cinemas to magical creative proposal agencies, romantic gestures are getting a lot more imaginative. We wanted to use our knowledge and expertise in this sector to establish The Romantics Awards to celebrate just that.”
