Mitre Linen has spoken out about the recent success of the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards, praising the winner of the Housekeeping Manager of the Year category that was sponsored by the company.
The Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards took place on October 20, and handed out gongs to 10 staff members at hotels across the country in a selection of categories.
Mitre Linen, who came on board for a second year of sponsorship, was delighted to once again be part of the event, which was held on the first night of the Independent Hotel Show at Hilton Olympia.
Stephen Broadhurst, managing director at Mitre Linen, was welcomed on stage to present the Housekeeping Manager of the Year award to the winner, who was chosen as Angela Ellis from The Zetter.
He said: “At Mitre we believe that the role of a housekeeper is pivotal to the success of a hotel and we want to recognise those Housekeeping Managers that work tirelessly every day to provide outstanding service, hence why we are particularly delighted to support the BH Personal Service Star Awards for the second year. It’s what you don’t see that makes the real difference to your stay. The housekeeping staff who work long hours, taking pride in their work to ensure that everything is perfect for each guest. The standards were extremely high this year and we are very proud of The Zetter’s Angela Ellis’ tremendous achievement, which should not be taken lightly.”
