The partnership sees Mitre Linen get behind the campaign and support the event – from the nominations stage all the way through to the glittering awards ceremony held in October at an exclusive venue in London.
The company is proud to be sponsoring the first year of the awards and is eager to recognise those housekeeping managers who work tirelessly everyday to provide outstanding service to give guests the best possible experience.
Managing director, Stephen Broadhurst explains how vital these top performing members of staff are to the DNA of a hotel.
“Every operation has outstanding housekeeping staff; these men and women can only be described as ‘unsung heroes’ with their ability to multi-task, as well as taking on each and every task with enthusiasm and ensuring the smooth, successful running of their team, is nothing short of amazing.
“As a frequent user of hotels, I had never realised what hard work went on before I checked in. You always see the welcoming receptionist and friendly restaurant staff, but it’s what you don’t see that makes the real difference to your stay; the housekeeping and service staff that work long hours and take pride in their work to ensure that everything is perfect for my stay.
“I can speak from personal experience after just spending one day as a housekeeper at the Thistle Marble Arch last year; what struck me the most was the extremely high hygiene and inspection standards that the housekeepers were able to achieve in the limited time that was allocated to clean each room. I was overwhelmed by the professionalism and passion of the housekeepers.”
