One of Europe’s largest banqueting hotels, Lancaster London on Hyde Park has its own event networking app.
The hotel is the first to utilise beacon mobile tracking technology to transform networking and event experiences for guests, according to app creator Live Group.
Lancaster London’s app will launch in January 2015, and its creators Live Group claim that the innovative technology will revolutionize how venues interact with guests, and how guests interact with each other.
The software directly engages people via an app on their mobile devices.
The App’s ‘Indoor Positioning’ function provides an interactive map of the venue, enabling guests to quickly locate themselves, other guests/delegates, and areas of interest within the venue.
The new beacons installed by Live Group are hardware devices designed to interact with smartphones as delegates move around a venue.
This enables delivery of live location-specific information anywhere a beacon is present.
It also gives an unprecedented opportunity to reach visitors in a very personal, contextual way – one that was previously impossible to achieve.
Toby Lewis, Live Group managing director, comments: “This is the first step in our strategy to create a growing number of partnerships with forward thinking, like-minded venues.
“Those hotels who have this technology permanently installed will also save costs for clients who choose to use that venue.”
Lancaster London, one of Europe’s leading and most flexible meeting and banqueting venues, has the ability to cater for all sizes of events from small business meetings, to large receptions for up to 3,000 people.
