Hotel group Montcalm Luxury Hotels has opened the doors to its sixth property, the Montcalm Royal London House – City of London, leading the way for a new spa and meetings and events space to open in November.
The new 253-bed hotel, close to Shoreditch and Liverpool Street Station, has been created inside a mid-century former office building, complete with two restaurants and two bars, including a rooftop bar, due to open in November and a ground-level juice bar.
The hotel’s main contractors and designers SGP Contractor along with renowned interior designer Russell Sage, Tonik Associates and 5Plus architects, were the brains behind the property’s new look.
With statement copper pipe lighting and exposed brick walls, plus reclaimed parquet flooring and silk-lined corridors, the new hotel is aiming to bring a new edge of luxury to the capital.
Each bedroom has an in-room Nespresso machine, plus a pillow menu designed by the hotel.
The hotel’s two restaurants, two bars and room service operations will be run by restaurateurs, Tom and Ed Martin of ETM Group.
‘Aviary’, a bar and restaurant concept on the roof top will open mid-November and will aim to become a destination restaurant in London.
Alongside Aviary, November will see Montcalm Royal London House open meeting and events spaces, which can be hired exclusively for 300 guests or for smaller events for around 60.
An urban spa is also on the cards for next month, which will feature Versace wall tiles, a swimming pool, two treatments rooms, plus sauna and steam room
Two Palm Suites with private balconies are also due to open in November, together with three private meeting rooms featuring a terrace overlooking the city’s skyline.
