Frima has released details of the new VarioCooking Center Multificiency system it has been developing — a compact unit that it is hailing as the first tabletop model of its type.
The 112T has been designed to bring the benefits of multifunctional cooking technology to smaller kitchens in restaurants, gastro pubs and hotels.
The system measures just 962mm wide by 800mm deep and 400mm high, but has two 14 litre pans, which gives it the same capacity as its larger sibling, the VCC 112.
Chefs can use the unit to boil, grill, fry, low temperature cook and deep fry. Frima claims it’s up to four times as fast and 40% more efficient in energy than conventional appliances.
“It can be used anywhere, on a table, a work surface, a central cooking block, a production area — wherever it’s needed,” said UK managing director Graham Kille. “It’s just as versatile as the established VarioCooking Center models, but needs a much smaller installation area.”
Kille said the 112T takes space-saving multifunctional cooking technology “to a new level”. The system features several new intelligent cooking processes, specifically designed for restaurant operations, including automatic processes for sous vide, confit and steaming.
The list price for the VarioCooking Center Multificiency 112T is £9,170 excluding VAT.
